John Edwards
John Edwards founded Veracity Wealth Management in April 2009 during the depths of the Great Recession. John worked the prior 12 years at a Wall Street firm before deciding he could better care for clients outside of that environment.
John primarily serves affluent individuals and families who do not have the time, expertise or inclination to navigate their resources through the complexities of the financial world. He has found that successful individuals are most productive enjoying their own profession than the time, emotion & attention needed to develop, implement & maintain their own financial plans.
John was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama before attending the University of Alabama where he studied Investment Management & Economics at the Culverhouse College of Business. After graduation in 1997, John began his wealth management career by completing the FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses, as well as, becoming insurance licensed. He also completed the FINRA Series 24 license in 2009 after affiliating with LPL Financial.
John completed the rigorous curricula to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP(®)) at Boston University in 2015. He then sat for and passed the certification exam later that year.
John enjoy spending time with his wife, Leslie, and daughter, Mackenzie, when not engaged with clients. He likes to relax by scuba diving, playing tennis, hunting and following the Alabama Crimson Tide to the next National Championship.
